Proudly Raising Funds for The Children’s Hospital Charity
DB Systel UK are proud to have raised a fantastic total of £750 for The Children’s Hospital Charity. Each year as a business we select a charity to raise funds for, with The Children’s Hospital Charity chosen for 2019. The charity is an organisation close to the hearts of colleagues, many of which have experienced first hand the outstanding care and support by the hospital within their own families. This year’s total was raised through a team effort of dress down days, raffles and bake sales in the office across the year.
Operations Director, Darren Unwin and Principal Solution Architect, John Steventon were pleased to present the total funds raised to Corporate Partnerships Officer, Sophie Coburn at the hospital.
Sophie explains, “We’re so grateful to DB Systel UK staff for their amazing support over the last year raising vital funds for Sheffield Children’s Hospital. Their fundraising is going towards the current appeal to transform the Cancer Ward, Emergency Department and installation of a helipad on the roof of our building. The support is going to make a huge difference to the lives of children from all over the UK and beyond who come for specialist treatment at our wonderful hospital”.
Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is one of four stand-alone specialist children’s hospitals in the UK that treats hundreds of thousands of children with every possible problem imaginable each year.
